ABOUT US

Chiropractic is a safe natural solution to treating a wide range of health conditions. Treatment targets the nervous system and allows the body and brain to communicate more effectively, leading to better function and ultimately good health. It is suitable for all ages from newborn, children and adults of all body types. The technique offered at David Wright Chiropractic is Neuro Impulse Protocol (NIP), which is a gentle (no cracking) method that can demonstrate effectiveness immediately.

Chiropractic Education requires a 3 year undergraduate degree of Applied Science (Complementary Medicine) and a 2 years Masters in Clinical Chiropractic. During this study, a chiropractor gains extensive knowledge in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, neurology and pathology, to name a few. This extensive education allows a chiropractor to offer a safe, natural alternative for treating a wide range of health conditions.

To practice, Chiropractors are registered to a governing body, which requires them to maintain a high professional standard through continual learning and personal development.

Dr David Wright (Chiropractor)

Hi, I’m David Wright and I graduated from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2010 with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Clinical Chiropractic. I am a proud member of the Chiropractors Association of Australia.

Following graduation, I worked with Kirokids for six years before joining East Geelong Chiropractic. Throughout my career I have gained extensive experience with pregnancy and paediatric chiropractic care using the Neuro Impluse Protocol (NIP) technique; this gentle and holistic approach to chiropractic care allows me to safely and effectively treat patients of all ages from newborn to the elderly.

After many years of treating a wide range of conditions, I am particularly intrigued of the effects that hip, knee and foot complaints consistently have in regards to lower back troubles. These symptoms are often over-looked by patients when talking to a chiropractor but can prove vital to the outcome of the treatment.

I have a genuine care for people, their health and well-being. My desire is that by being attentive to my patients’ physical, mental and emotional lifestyle choices, I will grow not only in my experience and knowledge as a practitioner, but as an empathetic and insightful community member.

When I am not treating my patients, I enjoy staying active, I have a keen interest in Sailing and I am a member of the Royal Geelong Yacht Club, I also love Rowing as part of the Corio Bay Rowing Club.

I look forward to building respectful relationships with all my clients whilst creating a relaxed, inviting and friendly atmosphere.

Dr Jemima Barbetti (Chiropractor)

Jemima has always been passionate about helping people improve their health and wellbeing. Her interest in chiropractic care was sparked after receiving treatment from a chiropractor in Ballarat, where she experienced firsthand the benefits of a holistic approach that focuses on the body as a whole rather than just presenting symptoms.

She went on to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science/Bachelor of Health Science (Chiropractic) at RMIT University, graduating in 2020.

Jemima has clinical interests in musculoskeletal conditions and functional health concerns and provides gentle, individualised care using the NeuroImpulse Protocol (NIP) technique. She enjoys working with people across all stages of life, from children through to older adults, and has a special interest in women's health.

Originally from Ballarat, Jemima has embraced life in Geelong and enjoys being part of the local community (and the slightly warmer weather). She is passionate about helping people move and function at their best, whether that means improving performance, managing pain, supporting recovery, or enhancing overall quality of life.

Outside the clinic, Jemima enjoys running, Pilates, a good coffee, and the occasional almond croissant. She feels fortunate to be caring for the Geelong community and helping her patients achieve lasting improvements in their health.
